Temple City Outreach Community Outreach Recap

There are some moments as a photographer that go far beyond capturing a beautiful image and yesterday was one of them.

On May 16th, I had the honor of photographing Temple City Outreach’s monthly community event here in Selma, and it was nothing short of incredible. From the very beginning, you could feel the love, the purpose, and the presence of something bigger than all of us.

More Than Just Photos

As a photographer, my goal is always to tell a story but this time, it meant even more. Being able to give back to my community through photography is something that is deeply important to me. It’s not just about taking pictures; it’s about helping shine a light on the work that truly matters.

By capturing these moments for Temple City Outreach, I’m able to help them share their mission, spread awareness, and show others just how impactful their monthly outreach truly is. These images will go on to tell stories of hope, love, and service; and that is something I’m incredibly grateful to be a part of.

A Day Filled with Joy and Purpose

Yesterday was filled with moments that were both powerful and deeply moving.

Children lit up with pure joy as they picked out their very own stuffed animals and those smiles are something you can’t stage or recreate. Families were able to find new clothes and receive what they needed, and it served as such a beautiful reminder of what love in action really looks like.

One of the most impactful parts of the day was the prayer tent. It was overflowing with God’s presence. There were hugs shared between strangers who quickly became family, tears shed as stories were told, and prayers lifted that you could feel in your soul. Lives were touched in a real and meaningful way.

Why This Matters

This is exactly why Temple City Outreach does what they do each month: to serve, to love, and to be the hands and feet of Jesus.

And it’s why I do what I do, too.

Photography has the power to preserve these moments, but also to amplify them. A single image can inspire someone to get involved, donate, or volunteer. It can open eyes and hearts.

Being able to contribute to that even in a small way means everything to me.

I am so grateful for everyone who came out, served, and made yesterday so special. It was a beautiful reminder of what happens when a community comes together with a shared purpose.

I already can’t wait to do it all again.

If there’s one thing I hope people take away from these photos, it’s this: love is powerful, and when it’s put into action, it changes lives.
